Family Law

At Yungo, our UAE family law practice covers all aspects of personal life: divorce, marriage, domestic violence, child custody, guardianship and inheritance.

UAE Family Law Practice

The family is the basis of every society. Family and divorce law issues are often highly emotionally charged. Particularly in current years, the UAE started working on new regulations on divorce matters since the rate of divorces is ever increasing and the government recognizes the reality of this phenomenon as well as its impact on families and the wider society.

Our team of family lawyers registered with the International Financial Centre Wills Service and Ras Al Khaimah Ruler’s Court are well versed in dealing with the challenges arising out of different jurisdictions and have extensive family law experience.

Continental Europe Practice

As the family concept changes with the development of the civil society, so does the need for these new families to be protected in their jurisdictions. Civil union, step-child adoption and same sex marriage are some of the new issues with which modern family law experts must be familiar.

Divorce is also on the rise in Continental Europe and for expats, can be quite difficult to understand, especially in relation to which law applies and how to deal with each country’s jurisdiction and rules. This is despite the effort of the EU to harmonise the rules applicable between its member states.

Yungo’s philosophy is that it is an area which requires knowledge, experience and empathy. We understand our clients’ need for support during these emotional times and we have a “human” approach when it comes to providing family law advice. When minors are involved, we put the children’s interest first. This philosophy extends to applying careful consideration to every matter and detail – providing a service that can often go beyond that of the lawyer.

Yungo has extensive experience in these areas of law and has provided legal support for various leading cases in its years of practice.

Yungo provides a number of consulting and legal services and assistance with all issues in both continental Europe and the United Arab Emirates.
